Wilton, CT., USA – Mariner Skills, LLC., an American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Approved online training provider, has a new credential to add to its name: United States Coast Guard (USCG) Approved training organization.  Resulting from the Mariner Skills merger with Learn America, LLC., January 1^st, the USCG quickly offered approval to the global online maritime provider. Mariner Skills officially launched in December 2021.

Wilton, CT., USA – The Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute has contracted with Mariner Skills, LLC., for the latter to provide Competency Management System (CMS) with Mariner Skills’ online value-added courses for her crews. 

Also known as MBARI, Monterey Bay commissioned Mariner Skills to deploy its Competency Matrix of Courses for her current 30 employees based upon the roles of each mariner whether management, operations, or office. MBARI, who is in the ocean research business of, “Advancing  marine science and engineering to understand the changing ocean,” welcomed the partnership to train her crews online based upon the uncompromising standards which Mariner Skills’ SMEs approach course content writing – subjects and topics requiring true learning from a student, rather than just “checking a box.” Another key feature which solidified the partnership is Mariner Skills capability to provide offline access when necessary.
